A fourth of July well spent. You expect fireworks and good food. But this was a totally different experience. We romped our car up the side of silverton's black sand beach to reach this spot, where a sea of tents pitch up every July.

Against the side of the mountain there are probably 200 tents. And the "best fireworks in the southwest" that shoot off around 10. And after ten, a DJ parks his speakers on the sand and shakes us with his techno base until around 2 am, if you make it late.
